Why it works and how to use it

Rust & Copper Whisper is a vivid dark, analogous color palette tagged food, warm, earthy. Analogous neighbors on the wheel (Cedar, Rust, Olive) give it a natural, low-tension flow. Saturation runs high, so use the brightest color sparingly and let the others carry the surface area. The overall temperature is warm.

With 4 chromatic colors, Rust takes the lead while the rest support. Lightness runs from 25% to 34%. Well suited to menus and packaging.

Background: Copper (#AD7E00) is the lightest color, so it belongs on large surfaces.
Text: Cedar (#874C00) on #AD7E00 gives 1.88:1, so pair it with a darker neutral for body copy.
Primary: Rust (#AB3F00) is the most saturated mid-tone; use it for buttons and links with a border or a darker shade for contrast.
Accent: Olive (#7F7300) for highlights, badges and hover states.

No pair inside the palette reaches 4.5:1, so add black or white for body text.
